EU imposes sanctions on Iran for missile supplies to Russia
EU foreign ministers have imposed sanctions on Iran for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia for use in Ukraine. The sanctions target individuals and companies linked to Iran's missile program and will include asset freezes and travel bans. Previously, the EU had warned Iran against providing missiles to Russia, viewing this as a serious violation. Iran denies these claims, stating its cooperation with Russia is not related to the Ukraine conflict. The meeting also addressed the ongoing Middle East conflict and Hungary's blockade of EU military aid to Ukraine. The EU is exploring a plan to make contributions to military aid voluntary, which Hungary may accept.
