European Space Agency launches satellite to create man-made solar eclipses
The European Space Agency has developed a satellite named Proba-3, designed to create a man-made solar eclipse. This satellite will help astronomers study the Sun's faint atmosphere, known as the corona. Proba-3 consists of two spacecraft: the 'Occulter,' which blocks sunlight, and the 'Coronagraph,' which observes the corona. This setup allows for extended observations, unlike natural solar eclipses that last only a few minutes. The satellite is set to launch today from India. Proba-3 can create solar eclipses on demand, enabling scientists to study the Sun more effectively than ever before.
