Evan Kinsley, president of Spiegel-Kinsley Construction, is building custom, net-zero homes in Placitas, New Mexico. These homes produce more energy than they consume, using a combination of energy-efficient designs and solar power systems. Kinsley focuses on luxury homes that blend traditional New Mexican architecture with modern features. His approach includes using structural insulated panels for better energy efficiency and maintaining scenic views of the Sandia Mountains. Currently, Kinsley is working on several projects, including four custom homes and two spec homes. He is also developing a small subdivision in Santa Fe, aiming to create high-performance, net-zero homes in the area.
