Ex-Argos worker pleads guilty to stabbing five colleagues
A former worker from Argos has pleaded guilty to stabbing five of his ex-colleagues in a warehouse attack near Croydon. Babah Sesay, 31, admitted to multiple charges, including wounding with intent and actual bodily harm. The incident took place on January 23. Sesay entered the distribution center around 10:15 am and attacked his former co-workers. Five men were injured and taken to the hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening. The victims ranged in age from their 20s to 50s. Police received reports about Sesay acting aggressively prior to the attack. After the incident, he fled the scene but was arrested at a restaurant about an hour later. Police described his capture as swift, which helped prevent serious injuries. Detective Superintendent Dan Rutland praised the quick actions of the officers involved. He emphasized that the police will not tolerate violence in the community. Sesay has been charged with several offenses and is set to be sentenced on June 5 at Croydon Crown Court.
