Ex-Army officer attacked ex-wife, trial ongoing
A former Army officer is on trial for allegedly attacking his ex-wife with a knife. Jonathan Creak, 50, reportedly traveled over 100 miles to confront Rhiannon Creak, whom he had been divorced from since 2018. The attack happened in July of last year on a remote country lane in Norfolk. Witnesses say Rhiannon screamed for Jonathan to stop as he assaulted her with a folding knife. Prosecutors claim he slashed her neck, back, leg, and breast, telling her she "needed to die." After the attack, he returned home and told his current partner that he had killed Rhiannon. When police questioned him, he claimed Rhiannon had tried to "destroy" him due to a financial disagreement. After being attacked, Rhiannon was found on the road, struggling to breathe and in critical condition. She required urgent medical treatment, including a blood transfusion and surgery for severe injuries to her neck. Jonathan Creak has denied attempted murder but has admitted to inflicting bodily harm. The trial continues.
