Ex-wrestler Manjeet Dalal arrested in New Delhi
A former wrestler was arrested by the Delhi Police for his ties to a gang led by Neeraj Bawana. Manjeet Dalal, known as Mangal, had been on the run for a month before his capture. At 31 years old, Dalal was wanted for several criminal activities, including a shooting incident in 2018 and other serious offenses. Dalal earned a silver medal in wrestling at the national level but fell into crime following financial struggles. His life changed drastically in 2010 when he lost his mother to cancer and his father left the family. During this tough time, Bawana approached him, drawing him into a life of crime. Police considered Dalal a crucial member of the gang, with connections to other notorious criminals. They formed a special team to track him. Using information from surveillance, they arrested him near the Singhu Border. Investigators believe he was involved in at least ten serious cases where he fired at police and committed robbery and extortion.
