F-16 jet orders surge from multiple countries globally
The United States remains the world's leading arms exporter, accounting for 43% of global sales. Recent reports show a 21% increase in U.S. arms exports from 2015-2019 to 2020-2024, with Europe now the largest recipient. The Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon is the most exported American fighter jet, with countries like Bulgaria, Greece, and Taiwan placing orders. Taiwan is also upgrading its existing F-16s to the Viper standard. The Tomahawk cruise missile is the most exported long-range land-attack missile. Despite Ukraine's requests for these missiles, the U.S. has restricted their use to avoid escalating the conflict with Russia.
