Fairborn woman sentenced to probation for car attack
A woman from Fairborn has been sentenced to probation for an incident where she drove her car into a man. Twanisha Lorine Brown, 43, will serve up to five years on probation following her guilty plea. The judge also ordered her to attend mental health counseling and to pay about $3,740 in restitution and $280 in fees. The events occurred on June 28, 2024, when deputies responded to a call at a Speedway gas station on Needmore Road. Brown hit a man with her car and pinned him against another vehicle. The impact caused the man to suffer a broken pelvis and various cuts on his arms and legs. Reports indicate that Brown had a prior relationship with the victim, with whom she shares children. Before the incident, the two had been arguing. Surveillance footage showed Brown hitting the man first, then reversing and hitting him several more times. The defense argued that Brown had been a victim of domestic violence, which influenced her actions. They also noted that if she received probation, she planned to relocate to the Toledo area.
