A fake court order has been discovered in a case involving the Bombay High Court (HC). The order was used by an accused individual to secure bail in a cheating case. The document bore a forged signature of a judge from a Pune court. The accused had initially been denied bail but managed to submit this counterfeit document as proof of a bail grant. After the fraud was uncovered, both the Bombay HC and the district court initiated an investigation. Judge Shivkumar Dige noted that the original court had never issued the bail order on the claimed date. He stated that the order submitted was forged and requested the judicial registrar to look into the matter. The case began when CTR Manufacturing Industries, a Pune-based company, filed a complaint against Chennai's Esun M R Pvt Ltd. This complaint alleged that Esun M R had copied CTR's designs for an airport project. After the complaint, several officials from Esun M R were arrested. Initially, they sought bail in a Pune court, but their applications were rejected. When the accused applied for interim bail at the Bombay HC, CTR's legal team obtained a certified copy of the original court order, revealing the submitted document was fake. Judge Wahida Makandar confirmed that the signature on the document was not hers. After verifying the claims, the Bombay HC revoked the accused's bail and ordered a police complaint to investigate the forgery.
