Fake policeman arrested for extorting couples in Bengaluru
Bengaluru police have arrested a man who pretended to be a police officer and extorted money from couples. The suspect, identified as Asif Khan, also known as Pisto, has been deceiving people for 15 years. He focused on couples parked in cars near parks and lakes, threatening them with public indecency charges. Khan approached couples while riding a bike, dressed in a police uniform. He scared them into paying money to avoid legal trouble. In one incident on March 5, he robbed a 41-year-old man near RV Metro Station. Khan took the man to an isolated place and stole his gold jewelry, worth about 12 grams. He also made the victim withdraw Rs 10,000 from an ATM. The police began an investigation after multiple complaints about Khan's actions. They arrested him and found around 80 grams of stolen gold jewelry. The police encourage other victims to come forward. With Khan in jail, couples can enjoy their time together without fear of being targeted.
