Fallen Radhachura tree replanted at Victoria Memorial in Kolkata
A thirty-year-old Radhachura tree, uprooted over 120 days ago at Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, was successfully replanted on Sunday. The replanting involved trimming the 40-foot tree and using a hydraulic crane for the process. The initiative began when a local resident noticed the fallen tree and contacted a tree transplanting expert. Approval was granted by Victoria Memorial authorities to proceed with the replanting. Experts emphasized the importance of proper care for the tree post-transplant. It will require 1,000 liters of water daily for the next five days, along with soil improvements and treatments to support its recovery.
