Falls police arrest man after apartment gun incident
A 29-year-old man in Falls is in jail after a police standoff on Sunday night. Munajj Booker allegedly fired a gun inside his apartment on New Falls Road. This incident led to a two-hour standoff with police. According to a police report, Booker was reportedly cleaning his gun when it "accidentally discharged" around 6:30 p.m. He fired a bullet into a neighboring apartment. A resident in the building heard the gunfire and found damage in the common area, including wood chips and a bullet hole. Fortunately, no one was inside the neighboring apartment at the time, and there were no injuries reported. Police spoke with Booker, who was alone in his apartment, shortly before 9 p.m. He did not leave his home until after 11:35 p.m. and was taken into custody. Booker faces a felony charge for discharging a firearm in an occupied structure and a misdemeanor for reckless endangerment. He is currently held at the Bucks County Correction Center with a bail set at $75,000.
