Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center showcases state's agriculture industry
The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center offers a unique look at the state's agriculture. The center features attractions like the Birthing Barn and Calf Connections, where visitors can experience the joy of new life on the farm. This week, from March 25 to March 29, the center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Spring Break. Families can enjoy hands-on agricultural science experiments during this special event. Abigail Winkle, the brand manager, grew up on a dairy farm and is passionate about sharing her love for agriculture. She believes the center connects visitors to food production, whether they are farm kids or consumers shopping for groceries. Executive Director Patty Lehn also has a farming background and is proud of Wisconsin's agriculture industry. She noted that it contributes $116 billion to the state's economy, which is often overlooked. Visitors can enjoy activities like petting and feeding calves. The center also has The Wisconsin Cafe for meals and Ice Cream Acres for treats. It aims to provide a fun and educational experience for all families.
