Father and son arrested for murdering wife, daughter

A man and his son were arrested in Bihar for allegedly murdering his wife and daughter. The incident occurred in Piyarrakala village after the daughter, Pratima, refused an arranged marriage and wanted to marry someone else. Initially, the husband and younger son claimed the women died from electrocution. However, police found inconsistencies in their statements and discovered external injuries on the bodies. The accused later confessed to strangling both women. The police have formed a special investigation team and are continuing their inquiry. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations, and evidence, including the murder weapon, has been collected.
