Father refutes claims of daughter's assault at Lahore college as police investigate
The father of a girl allegedly assaulted at a Lahore college has denied the claims, stating his daughter was hospitalized due to a back injury from a fall at home. He expressed surprise at the protests and social media videos related to the incident. Police have stated there is no credible evidence of an assault. ASP Shehrbano Naqvi urged the public to avoid spreading misinformation, emphasizing that the police would act if solid evidence existed. A security guard has been arrested amid the uproar. In response to the situation, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formed a seven-member committee to investigate the allegations. The committee is expected to report its findings within 48 hours.
