FBI arrests 'AK Guru' in North Carolina for allegedly selling hundreds of machine guns
The FBI has arrested Earl Carter, known as "AK Guru," in North Carolina for allegedly making and selling hundreds of machine guns. The arrest followed an undercover investigation that revealed Carter's operation at his home in Hamlet. Carter is accused of modifying legal firearms and assembling parts from deconstructed guns to create working machine guns. A cooperating informant estimated he sold at least 1,000 modified automatic weapons across the Carolinas. During a search of Carter's home, agents found dozens of machine guns and homemade suppressors. The investigation is ongoing, and the U.S. Attorney's Office is handling the prosecution.
