FC Barcelona installs over 39,000 seats at Camp Nou
FC Barcelona released a new video today showing the progress of renovations at Spotify Camp Nou. More than 39,000 seats have been installed as the club works hard to complete the project by early May. The video displays ongoing work throughout the stadium. Barcelona aims to host matches against Real Madrid on May 11 and Villarreal on May 18, but meeting this timeline is ambitious. As a backup plan, they have an agreement to continue using the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys until May 20, just in case they need more time. FC Barcelona is determined to begin next season at the Les Corts stadium. Significant developments have occurred on the pitch. Workers have dug drainage trenches, and the next steps include installing an irrigation system and laying grass by late April. About 3,000 workers are currently on site, with much activity taking place near the dugouts. Work in that area is speeding up now that the cranes have been removed. Construction of the beams for the third tier is also progressing. This section will support VIP boxes, which are expected to boost revenue for the stadium. If FC Barcelona can return to Les Corts this season, they plan to make temporary adjustments. This includes adding lighting towers, modifying the press room, and updating locker rooms. These changes will help ensure a permanent return to the stadium by September.
