Feleipe Franks re-signs with Atlanta Falcons for one year

Feleipe Franks is back with the Atlanta Falcons after signing a one-year contract. The team made the announcement recently, confirming his return as a free agent tight end. Franks, who is 27 years old, first joined the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He started his NFL career as a quarterback but switched to tight end during his rookie season. Over his career, he has primarily played on special teams, recording a total of 113 snaps on offense and 432 on special teams. Last season, Franks played for the Carolina Panthers. He had his most active season yet, participating in 305 special teams snaps, making 10 tackles, and catching his first pass for 12 yards. During his rookie year with Atlanta, Franks played in nine games and had limited offensive involvement. The following year, he appeared in 11 games and even started one, though he did not catch any passes. Franks missed the entire 2023 season due to a calf injury but is now joining fellow tight ends Kyle Pitts and Charlie Woerner on the Falcons’ roster.
