Japan is welcoming spring with the blooming of cherry blossoms. This means vibrant pink flowers will soon fill the landscape. Cherry blossoms symbolize the beauty and briefness of life. Fender Japan will celebrate this seasonal change by releasing limited edition Telecaster guitars featuring cherry blossom designs. These special guitars will be available on March 21, one day after the start of spring. The Made in Japan Limited Sakura Telecasters will come in three unique designs. The first, called Hatsu-Zakura or “First Cherry Blossoms,” represents the early signs of spring when the first blossoms appear. The second design is called Oun, meaning “Sakura Clouds.” This design shows full trees of cherry blossoms that look like fluffy clouds. The third is Ouka-Ranman or “Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom.” It depicts the blossoms at their peak, making it a beautiful but crowded time to enjoy them. All three guitars share the same quality features. They include Vintage-Style Single-Coil pickups and vintage tuners. The bodies of the guitars are white on the sides and back to maintain the brightness of the flowers. Each guitar will be priced at 198,000 yen, which is about $1,300. They will be available through the Fender Flagship Tokyo store, some dealers, and the Fender Japan online shop.
