Film "Santosh" delayed by Indian censorship issues
The Indian film "Santosh" remains stuck in censorship, delaying its release. Producer Mike Goodridge stated that the Central Board of Film Certification requested changes that the filmmakers are uncomfortable with. The film was previously set to release on January 10. "Santosh" has received international recognition, winning awards at the Asian Film Awards. It tells the story of a widow who becomes a police constable and investigates a murder in rural India. The film is currently screening at festivals in its uncut version. The U.K. release of "Santosh" is scheduled for March 21. Goodridge also provided updates on other projects, including Edward Berger's Netflix film "The Ballad of a Small Player," which is in post-production.
