FIR filed against man for assaulting minor in Ludhiana

Police in Ludhiana have filed a case against a 25-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. The incident took place in Haidar Nagar village on March 13. According to the girl's father, he heard his daughter crying while they were sleeping at home. When he went to check, he saw the accused, Sukhwinder Singh, fleeing from the room. The father said Singh climbed over the walls to escape. The girl told her father that Singh had been stalking her for several days. She said he would follow her on her way home from school. On the night of the incident, she claimed he entered her room while she was sleeping and touched her inappropriately. The police are taking the matter seriously. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the law, including the POCSO Act. Investigators are currently searching for Singh to make an arrest.
