Fire at footwear showroom in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh
A fire started at a shoe showroom in Shaheen Bagh, southeast Delhi, on Saturday morning. The Delhi Fire Services received the alarm at 11:17 AM and quickly sent five fire engines to the scene. Firefighters are actively working to control the blaze. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities. The firefighting efforts have caused traffic delays in the area, impacting local commuters. More information about the incident is expected to be released soon. In another unrelated event, six people were injured after jumping from the second floor to escape a fire in Nangloi's Janata Market on February 17. The fire began around 9:45 PM and spread to the first and second floors of a building. Firefighters received the call and managed to control the fire by 11 PM. However, by that time, six residents trapped on the second floor had to jump for safety. The injured individuals, aged between 13 and 40, were taken to Pushpanjali Hospital for medical care.
