Fire consumes shed in Chatham-Kent, no injuries reported
A shed caught fire in rural Chatham-Kent on Saturday night, posing a risk due to nearby fuel tanks. Firefighters from multiple stations responded to the emergency at 10:33 PM. The first crew arrived from Dover and found the shed completely engulfed in flames. They discovered four large fuel tanks that needed to be cooled to prevent further danger. To control the fire, crews used aerial support and tankers from Wallaceburg. A total of 30 firefighters were involved in battling the blaze, along with other first responders. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
