However, wildfires in the Southeast could increase air pollution. Residents who are sensitive to smoke may experience moderate air quality issues, categorized as code yellow. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 30s in the Piedmont Triad, with some clouds overhead. Looking ahead to Monday, there is a chance for scattered light showers. These showers could start in the mountains and foothills during the morning commute. In the Piedmont Triad, some rain is likely to develop after 8 a.m., with most precipitation moving toward Raleigh around 1 p.m.
