Fire destroys 11 rented houses in Digboi, India

A fire in Digboi town, Tinsukia district, destroyed eleven rented houses on Saturday evening. The blaze started in one house and quickly spread to nearby structures, fueled by bamboo and wood. No injuries were reported, but tenants lost all their belongings. Firefighters from Indian Oil Corporation and state emergency services took about three hours to control the fire. The cause is still under investigation. Earlier that day, another fire at Borguri Industrial Estate affected three businesses, also taking three hours to extinguish.
