Fire in parking lot prompts hotel evacuation in Colorado Springs

A fire broke out at the SpringHill Suites Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs early Friday morning. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the parking garage, starting from a car on the second level. Hotel guests were evacuated as firefighters responded to the scene. The Colorado Springs Fire Department worked to control the fire and clear smoke from the area. A hazmat team also checked the air quality throughout the hotel. Guests were allowed back inside the hotel shortly before 3 a.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
