First KFD death reported in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka
A 69-year-old woman in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, died from Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) on March 15. This is the first reported death from KFD in the district this year. The woman had been experiencing high fever and was diagnosed with KFD after being admitted to a local hospital. Her health worsened, leading to her referral to a hospital in Udupi, where she died.
