First look at Éanna Hardwick and Steve Coogan in Saipan film about Keane and McCarthy feud

The first image from the upcoming film about the 2002 Saipan training camp has been released. Éanna Hardwick portrays Roy Keane, while Steve Coogan plays Mick McCarthy. The film explores their famous feud during the World Cup preparations. Production companies Wildcard and Bankside Films aim for an accurate portrayal, drawing from various accounts. The film will focus on the dynamic between Keane and McCarthy, while also featuring other key figures from the incident. "Saipan" is scheduled for theatrical release in summer 2025. Coogan will also star in a stage adaptation of "Dr Strangelove" in Dublin in February.
