Fisherman dies from fall on boat near Malpe harbor

A fisherman died after falling on a boat in Udupi on Wednesday. The victim is Narasimha, 62 years old. He worked as a crew member on the Veeranjaneya fishing boat, which operates from Malpe harbour. The accident happened while the crew was out at sea. Narasimha slipped and fell inside the boat, which left him in critical condition. A fellow crew member, Praveen, called Narasimha's son, Umesh, to inform him of the situation. He said Narasimha could not speak and they were returning to the harbour for medical help. Once they reached Malpe harbour, Narasimha was taken to a private hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The local police have filed an unnatural death report regarding the incident.
