Five arrested for Dimapur ATM robbery and theft

Dimapur police have arrested five people linked to an ATM heist that stole Rs 25.85 lakh on February 20. The arrests occurred in Assam and Dimapur, with four suspects identified and one unnamed. Police recovered Rs 13,50,200 of the stolen money, along with a car and a motorcycle used in the crime. A special investigation team was formed immediately after the theft to pursue leads. The suspects used an oxy LPG cutter to break into the ATM and had previously attempted the same theft on February 13. They also confessed to robbing three other ATMs in Assam and Meghalaya.
