Five-course immersive dining returns in suburban Philly
A popular dining event is returning this week to Jansen, a restaurant in Mt. Airy, Pennsylvania. The Jansen Dinner Lab will take place on Thursday, March 20, starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will offer a special five-course dinner featuring cheeses from The Farm at Doe Run, a well-known creamery in Chester County. This farm is famous for its sustainable cheeses made from the milk of grass-fed cows, goats, and sheep. Guests will enjoy a unique experience as the dinner will be presented as a blind tasting. As each course is revealed, diners will vote on their favorite dish to potentially feature in Jansen's seasonal menu. Each course will be prepared by different members of the culinary team. Miguel Vivanco, the head cheesemaker from The Farm at Doe Run, will be present to share his knowledge about the cheesemaking process and the flavors of the cheeses used. The price for the Dinner Lab is $125 per person, with an optional wine and cocktail pairing for an extra $75. There are only 50 seats available, and reservations are required on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who cannot attend this event, the next Jansen Dinner Lab will be on June 26. More details for that event will be shared later.
