Five robberies reported on Staten Island recently
The New York Police Department has reported five robberies on Staten Island between March 3 and March 9. The incidents took place in different neighborhoods, including Great Kills, Tompkinsville, and St. George. According to data from CompStat, the number of robberies increased this year. There were 55 reported robberies so far in 2025, up from 52 in the same period in 2024. Here are details of the recent robberies: On March 3, a robbery occurred at a home near Cleveland Avenue and Hartford Street in Great Kills at 6 a.m. Two days later, on March 5 at 11 a.m., a clothing robbery was reported on Minthorne Street in Tompkinsville. Another robbery happened on March 8 at the St. George Ferry Terminal at midnight. The following day, on March 9, a robbery of an electronic device was reported at 5 a.m. near Todt Hill Road and Tillman Street in Castleton Corners. Later that night, at 11 p.m., another clothing robbery took place at Wall Street and Richmond Terrace in St. George.
