Five robbery suspects arrested in Camarines Norte
Five people linked to a robbery in Surigao del Norte were arrested in Camarines Norte on Tuesday. The police carried out a dragnet operation in Sta. Elena town and caught the suspects at around 5:10 p.m. while they were driving along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Tabugon. The suspects were identified by their aliases: “Jess” and “Dado” from Subic, Zambales, and “Ed,” “Jon,” and “Matt” from Baliwag, Bulacan. They were tracked down with help from the Claver police in Surigao del Norte. The Claver police had been pursuing the suspects, who were reportedly escaping from Leyte in a green Honda CR-V. This vehicle was linked to a robbery that occurred on March 9, 2025, in Barangay Bagakay, Claver, Surigao del Norte. During the arrest, police recovered several stolen items, including laptops, cell phones, tablets, internet routers, and police uniforms. The suspects and the stolen items are now in the custody of the Sta. Elena police for processing. A background check revealed that one suspect, “Ed,” had an outstanding warrant for carnapping.
