Five-year-old boy relies on machine for survival
Henley Mountford-Farmer, a five-year-old boy born with gastroschisis, spends up to 20 hours daily on a feeding machine to survive. He has less than half of his bowel and experiences significant pain from his condition. Despite his challenges, Henley aims to live a normal life. His mother, Kali, is dedicated to supporting him, including pushing for his attendance at mainstream school, though he has only been able to attend nine days this year due to health issues. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by neighbors to help build Henley's dream garden, which includes safe play areas and a spot to watch chickens. The family hopes this will enhance Henley's quality of life.
