March is Florida Biking Month, and it’s a great time to enjoy cycling in South Florida. This month encourages people to explore safe biking trails that minimize contact with cars. These paths are mostly paved and shared with walkers and joggers. In Broward County, the Cypress Creek Greenway offers a 7-mile trail along Cypress Creek Canal. Riders can park at nearby nature centers. Markham Park features 10 miles of trails where you can ride for fun. There’s also a recommendation for a safe roadway near the park with limited traffic. Another option in Broward is the Hiatus Road Greenway. This 6-mile round-trip trail runs from Plantation to Sunrise. The Pompano Airpark Bike Trail is a flat loop of 4.5 miles around the airpark, perfect for anyone looking for a short ride. In Palm Beach County, the Lake Trail is a scenic 5.5-mile path with views of luxurious mansions and local sites.
