Florida couple charged with murdering teenage girl
A Florida couple, Steven Gress and Michelle Brandes, have been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Miranda Corsette. They allegedly lured her to their home via a dating app, where they tortured and dismembered her body. Corsette was reported missing on February 24 after staying with the couple for ten days. Police believe she was killed between February 20 and 24 during an argument over a missing ring. Her remains were later found in a dumpster. Gress was already in custody for other offenses when he was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping on March 7. Brandes turned herself in the following day, also facing murder charges. The investigation is ongoing.
