Florida gas prices increased to $3.03 per gallon
Gas prices in Florida increased for the second week in a row. The average price for regular fuel reached $3.03 per gallon on Monday. This is up from last week's average of $2.99 per gallon. Over the past month, fuel prices in Florida have gone up by about 5 cents. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) noted that gas prices in the state have varied widely over the last year. They were as low as $2.93 on January 22, 2024, and peaked at $3.54 on May 6, 2024. One year ago, the average gas price in Florida was also $3.03 per gallon. This means prices have not changed much compared to last year. Nationally, the average gas price last week was $3.06. This makes Florida's prices about 0.8% lower than the national average. The average national price is slightly lower than it was the previous week, which was $3.07 per gallon.
