Focus guitarist Menno Gootjes shares his musical journey and upcoming projects

Menno Gootjes, guitarist for Focus, reflects on his musical journey, which began with Canterbury bands and expanded to include artists like Frank Zappa and Genesis. He enjoys sharing his eclectic tastes with fellow musicians. Gootjes is currently working on a new album, set for release in six months. The album will feature a mix of hard-edged prog, acoustic, and classical elements. He is also preparing for a UK tour with Focus in April. Additionally, Gootjes has recorded a collaboration with Steve Hackett, which is yet to be released. He continues to draw inspiration from various genres and artists, maintaining a passion for progressive music.
