Forest department recovers 22 acres in Sakleshpur
The forest department has successfully reclaimed 22 acres of encroached land in Sakleshpur. This operation took place on Saturday in Kadumane village, under the supervision of Deputy Conservator of Forests Saurabh Kumar. The encroached land was in Section 4 of Murkannu Gudda and was taken over by an individual. Assistant Conservator of Forests Hemant led the efforts to remove the encroachment, following the guidelines of the Forest Act. Forest officials, along with their staff, went to the site to clear the area. The operation was closely monitored by Conservator of Forests V Yedukondalu and the deputy conservator overseeing the Hassan circle. This action has raised concerns among local farmers, as many have been encroaching on forest lands. A forest officer warned that more clearance drives will occur in the future to reclaim additional lands. He also noted that some people are illegally farming on these forested areas.
