Former Hong Kah Secondary site to become expanded Grace Orchard School for special needs students

The former Hong Kah Secondary School site in Jurong West will be redeveloped into an expanded Grace Orchard School, catering to students with autism and mild intellectual disabilities. The new facility will increase capacity from 450 to 600 students by 2028. Grace Orchard School will feature larger classrooms, outdoor fitness areas, and sheltered playgrounds. A two-storey hub will also be built for vocational training, accommodating 150 older students and providing community services. This redevelopment follows the 2019 merger of Hong Kah and Jurongville Secondary Schools, which left the site vacant. The new campus aims to enhance continuity for graduates by keeping them connected to their teachers and peers.
