Former Minnechaug athlete CJ Cronin remembered for his positivity and humor

CJ Cronin, a former multi-sport athlete at Minnechaug Regional High School, passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 20. He was a junior at Northeastern University, where he studied business and pursued a passion for film. Cronin was known for his kindness, humor, and support for teammates, even after a serious injury cut his senior football season short. His positive impact on friends and family was evident at his burial, attended by hundreds. In his memory, Minnechaug football plans to establish a scholarship and honor him with special helmet decals and a return of the “Wacky Hat Day” tradition.
