Former NYC private school baseball coach arrested for sexually abusing seven boys
Nicolas Morton, a 31-year-old former baseball coach at a Brooklyn private school, has been arrested for sexually abusing seven boys aged 12 to 14. He faces a 20-count indictment, including charges of groping and coercing players to expose themselves. The alleged abuse occurred while Morton coached the NYC Freedom Baseball travel team, which included students from Packer Collegiate Institute. Prosecutors claim he threatened players with team exclusion if they did not comply with his demands. Morton was fired in August after school officials reported concerns about his behavior. He is currently out on bail set at $75,000, with a court hearing scheduled for December 13, 2024.
