Former official's daughter assault delays Karachi flight
A private airline flight headed for Karachi experienced serious issues before takeoff. The trouble started when the daughter of a former Quetta commissioner allegedly assaulted a flight attendant. This happened after the attendant politely asked her to fasten her seatbelt and close her tray table. The passenger reacted badly, causing a scene onboard. She reportedly yelled and threatened the crew instead of following safety instructions. The captain decided to return the plane to the terminal for safety reasons and called for Airport Security Force (ASF) to assist. When told she and her father would be removed from the flight, the passenger struck the flight attendant in the face. The attack left the attendant injured, with a bleeding nose and a broken tooth. ASF officers detained both the father and daughter for assault and disrupting the flight. However, instead of being formally charged, they were asked by civil aviation authorities to sign a written apology. Once they completed this step, they were allowed to leave the airport. The delayed flight eventually took off without them.
