Former security chief faces new charges for recording students
A former security chief at Cristo Rey High School is facing new legal troubles. Fernando Bustos is accused of secretly recording students in the locker room. On March 20, he was charged with eight additional counts of invasion of privacy. This follows an earlier charge he faced. Prosecutors claim Bustos used a hidden camera to capture hundreds of videos while students were changing. Bustos, who was a police officer in Greenfield before his job at Cristo Rey, resigned during an internal investigation. This investigation revealed issues with his credibility, leading to his inclusion on the Milwaukee County Brady list. Bustos is scheduled to appear in court for a scheduling conference on April 16. Currently, he is not in custody.
