Former St. Xavier High School teacher indicted for sexual battery involving student

A former teacher at St. Xavier High School, Emily Nutley, has been indicted on six counts of sexual battery involving a 17-year-old student. The charges stem from a sexual relationship that began in November 2023. Nutley, 42, was employed as a supervisor for an academic assistance program when she initiated contact with the student. This included sending explicit messages and engaging in sexual activities both on and off school grounds. The relationship was uncovered through an internal investigation by school administrators, which led to a police investigation. If convicted, Nutley faces up to 15 years in prison.
