Formula 1 extends Monaco Grand Prix contract to 2031 with new June date
Formula 1 has signed a new agreement to keep the Monaco Grand Prix on its calendar until at least 2031. The race will move from its traditional late-May date to the first week of June starting in 2026. Next year's Monaco Grand Prix will be the last held in May. The date change aims to allow back-to-back races in Miami and Montreal, reducing travel for teams and lowering carbon emissions. The Monaco Grand Prix has been a staple of F1 since 1950, despite criticism over limited overtaking opportunities. This year, Charles Leclerc became the first Monagasque driver to win the race in the championship era.
