Four arrested in Jalandhar grenade attack investigation
Four people, including a woman, have been arrested for allegedly throwing a grenade at the house of a YouTuber in Jalandhar. This brings the total arrests in the case to five. The incident happened on Sunday when the grenade, aimed at YouTuber Rozer Sandhu's home, failed to explode. Senior police officer Gurmeet Singh said the police encountered one of the key suspects, Amritpreet Singh, during a chase late Tuesday night. Amritpreet was shot during this encounter when he tried to escape. He has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Earlier on Tuesday, another suspect, Hardik Kamboj, was caught in Yamunanagar. Kamboj also sustained a gunshot wound after shooting at police officers. Police believe both men are responsible for the grenade attack, which was claimed by a Pakistani gangster named Shahzad Bhatti. During the investigation, police identified three additional suspects. They are Dheeraj, Panday, and Laxmi, who were arrested in Himachal Pradesh. These individuals allegedly helped Kamboj and Amritpreet with logistics and shelter. The police have filed charges against Kamboj, Bhatti, and others under various sections related to murder, explosives, and unlawful activities. The investigation is still ongoing.
