The government plans to set up four industrial parks in the Parvatipuram-Manyam district of Andhra Pradesh. The goal is to boost economic activity and create job opportunities for local residents. District Collector A. Shyam Prasad announced this initiative on Friday. One industrial park will be established in each Assembly constituency: Parvatipuram, Saluru, Kurupam, and Palakonda. This effort aims to help not only local entrepreneurs but also tribal communities by allowing them to supply their products to these new industries. The Collector noted that several entrepreneurs have shown interest in starting agro-based industries in the district. Their proposals must be approved by higher authorities and an industrial promotion board. To support these entrepreneurs, the government will provide benefits such as reduced power tariffs, lower registration fees, and necessary infrastructure like roads and electrical connections. Special subsidies and interest waivers will be available for entrepreneurs from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Non-SC and ST entrepreneurs can also set up businesses in certain areas of the district. The district, established just three years ago, is optimistic about achieving its long-term development goals through this industrial growth. The Collector believes that increasing industrial activity will significantly boost the district's economy.
