Four KSU activists arrested for assaulting student

Four members of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) have been arrested in Palakkad for attacking a fellow student. The incident occurred over a comment made on a Facebook post about a college festival. The victim, a second-year student at Ottapalam NSS College, was severely beaten on Monday afternoon. According to police, the KSU activists tried to strangle the victim with a metal wire during the assault. The victim's comment reportedly upset the suspects, leading to the violent confrontation. Authorities arrested the four students late Monday and charged them with several offenses, including wrongful restraint and attempting to kill. The injured student is currently receiving medical treatment.
