Fox Corp acquires Red Seat Ventures to boost streaming content
Fox Corp. has acquired Red Seat Ventures, a digital media company that supports independent news personalities, including Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson. This acquisition aims to enhance Fox's streaming service, Tubi, by expanding content creation. Red Seat Ventures will operate as a separate unit under Tubi Media Group. Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi, will chair Red Seat Ventures, while its founding partners will continue to lead the company. This move reflects Fox's strategy to engage traditional media talent in new platforms like podcasts and streaming. It follows Fox's previous acquisition of Outkick, a conservative sports-news site, in 2021.
